Misty Farber, LCSW
I am a results-driven mental health professional that strives for effective and efficient treatment. I am passionate about the work that I do and I enjoy helping people to learn to thrive and improve overall wellness. I am trained and certified in evidence and research based modes of therapy for trauma and trauma and substance use and couples work, including respectively: Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety, Managing and Adapting Practices, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I am also an EMDR Trained therapist, which was developed for work with trauma, anxiety, panic, chronic pain and depression. I have 15 years of experience working within the mental health field. I have helped many people who struggle with negative thoughts, self-doubt, nightmares, and fear in daily living. I enjoy working with individuals and couples alike. I primarily view individuals, couples, and families through an attachment lens and provide information on how attachment impacts relating styles and relationships and provide ways to improve those relationships. I hope that you walk away from session one and beyond feeling hopeful. I love helping others learn what I know, so that they can leave sessions with some insights and tangible tools to use in their lives. I work to empower and build resilient self-efficacy in every session. I am looking forward to helping you reach your new level of wellness!
